R&B star Usher will round out Formula One’s U.S. Grand Prix festival weekend at Circuit of the Americas, providing the post-race music next Sunday, Oct. 23.

Usher, who has sold roughly 75 million records worldwide, will be backed by neo-soul artists The Roots, who famously double as the house band for “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.”

The Weeknd was scheduled to do the final show after the F1 race, but the two-time Grammy winner canceled. He is working on an alum set for release next month.

“It is with sincere regret that I am not able to perform at the U.S. Grand Prix this year,” The Weeknd said in a statement. Playing a show for F1 is an incredible opportunity, and I am absolutely certain that Taylor Swift and Usher & The Roots will provide all F1 fans with two unforgettable concerts.”

Usher, a minority owner in the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers, has won 18 Billboard Music Awards and eight Grammy Awards.

The 37-year-old Dallas native is one of the best-selling artists in the world, and Billboard named him the No. 1 Hot 100 artist of the 2000s.

Usher has released his eighth studio album entitled Hard II Luv. The single “No Limits,” featuring Young Thug, hit the top of the R&B/Hip Hop charts, securing the 15th No. 1 single of his career.

He also starred in the movie Hands of Stone, in which he played boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard.  Usher also is a major philanthropic force. Founded in 1999, his New Look Foundation empowers youth from impoverished communities to become leaders.

“To add an act of this quality and acclaimed status further cements the growing reputation of Formula One U.S. Grand Prix as the most fan-friendly and entertaining race weekend, both on and off the track,” Bobby Epstein, founder and CEO of Circuit of the Americas, said in a statement.

All tickets for the race weekend include access to both post-race concerts: Taylor Swift on Saturday, Oct. 22, and Usher & The Roots on Sunday, Oct. 23.

Tickets are available at www.circuitoftheamericas.com.
